Chapter 374: Strange Conversations


*awkward silence*


Madeline: Uncle La-lo, that lady got green hair and you got purple hair…you should be friends!
*Ivy giggles*
Taryn: You know…we were just on our way to get Maddie some ice cream…so we’re going to get going…
Felix: Good idea, come on Maddie.
Madeline: Yay, ice cream!


Madeline: Bye, La-lo! Bye, lady, see you soon!
Ivy: Bye, sweetie.
*Taryn, Felix, and Madeline leave*


Ivy: Madeline is adorable; you must love being her uncle.
Laszlo: It’s doesn’t…bother you?
Ivy: Should it?
Laszlo: Er…


Ivy: I know I used to like Felix, but that was a long time ago. I’m over it. If I wasn’t that would just be…pathetic.
*Laszlo nods*
Ivy: It’s good to see you.
Laszlo: Are you back…for good?
Ivy: Yeah.


Laszlo: I thought you were coming back sooner.
Ivy: When I finished school I had an opportunity to do an internship for a year. It was a great chance to get some experience…so I took it.
*Laszlo nods again*


Ivy: …
Laszlo: …


Ivy: I have a lot of unpacking to do so I’m going to get back to it.
Laszlo: Oh, okay.
Ivy: Will I…see you later?
Laszlo: Sure.


*Ivy walks away*
Ivy: *thinking to herself* He’s different then I remember…
Laszlo: *thinking to himself* Why didn’t she stay and talk to me longer?

Elsewhere…

Bo: Um…hi, Jonas.
Jonas: Hey there, Bo. What’s up?
Bo: Nothing, nothing’s up.
Jonas: Okay.


Bo: Er…what are you doing?
Jonas: Well, I’m looking through my portfolio. I really need to work on it again…I’ve kind of put off my drawing for the past few years.
Bo: …
Jonas: You keep telling me to get back in the game, I’m finally listening.


Bo: Oh…
Jonas: Is it not a good idea?
Bo: No, no, I think it’s a great idea…I’m just…flattered, I guess, that you listened.
Jonas: I always listen to you. I just don’t always show it.
*Bo smiles*


*Jonas keeps looking through his pictures and finds and old one of Grace he drew a long time ago*
Jonas: Oh…I forgot I had this…
*Bo looks, and sees Jonas touching it in an obviously loving way*


Bo: Um…I have to go.
Jonas: Already?
Bo: Yes. I have to…well…I have things to do.
Jonas: Bo, are you okay?
Bo: I’m fine…really.
Jonas: Okay, see you later.


*Jonas watches Bo walk away*
Jonas: That was…strange…

For the first part, it's just like a little kid to break an awkward silence. :P Laszlo is happy to see Ivy, he's just kind of in shock that she's suddenly there...and he's looking for another reason to be mad at Felix and Ivy isn't cooperating. He was kind of hoping she'd dislike him as much as he does...but no. Bo is really nervous talking to Jonas and isn't really sure what to say. Plus she is learning that love often comes with the unpleasant sensations of jealously. :O
